Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend

Eileen Bernadette Moen, age 89, of McHenry, passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 13, 2020. Eileen was born February 3, 1931, in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Genevieve (nee Gerlach) Busam. On August 8, 1953, Eileen married her loving husband Gordon Moen in Chicago. Gordon preceded Eileen in death on January 30, 2009.
Eileen worked for many years in the healthcare field, retiring in 1993 from Condell Hospital. She enjoyed reading and watching TV, a couple of her favorite shows being N.C.I.S. and Blue Bloods. Eileen loved spending time with her family and enjoying her grandkids and granddogs.
Eileen is survived by her daughters: Debbi (Robert) Bacci of Round Lake, and Wendy (Drew) Ammons of McHenry; son-in-law: Mark O'Brien of Lake Bluff; grandchildren: Ashlee, Jason, Brittany, Nathan, Caitlin, Tyler, Madelyn; and great-grandchildren: Caelyn, August, Audrey, Charlotte, Jack, Lincoln and Everett. She is further survived by her sister, Audrey (Kevin) Gross of Lakeforest, CA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Gordon, Eileen was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia O'Brien; and sister, Delores Poor.
In following with Eileen's wishes, no formal services will be held.

I will miss you Aunt Eileen. I know you are in a better place and at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family, especially her daughters (my cousins) and her sister (my mom). You will always have your memories to cherish. Love you.

Wendy, Drew, Tyler and Maddy. My sincere condolences go out to all of you. Your mom was a wonderful example of a caring and compassionate person, who dedicated her life to caring for others. Remember all the good times shared with her and know she is finally at peace and not suffering. She lives on through you and in your hearts.
