Tribute & Message From The Family

Jayme Louise Burrafato, age 51, of McHenry, left this world to be with Jesus on June 21, 2020, after a long battle with breast cancer.
It would be wrong to say she lost her battle to breast cancer, because that is the furthest from the truth, she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to keep going. When anyone else may have broken, Jayme stayed strong. Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. There was no quit in Jayme. But even the strongest warriors get tired.

Jayme was blessed with the most wonderful send off, "Ride with Jayme to Heaven". In attendance were hundreds of people, over 140 motorcycles and many cars.

Jayme was born April 9, 1969 in Grand Forks North Dakota with her parents Timothy and Diane Ruffin. She married George A. "Tony" Burrafato on December 12, 2012 at the Venetian in Las Vegas with their daughters by their side.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tony Burrafato; her distant son Zachary (Amanda) Schwartz, Amanda (James) Addy and Amy (Bryan) Henning; grandchildren Noah, Savanah, Ryder, Elizabeth, Wyatt and Austin; her parents Tim and Diane Ruffin; her brother Timothy "Tim" (Lori) Ruffin and sister Kimberly "Kim" (Barry) Glover as well as nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Grandmother Helen Barber, and Grandfathers Jim Barber and Ralph Ruffin.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Jayme's grandson Austin Addy Educational Fund c/o Colonial Funeral Home 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry IL 60050, or charity of your choice.

Visitation will take place on Monday June 29, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm at Colonial Funeral Home and Crematory 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry, IL. Funeral service will begin at 6:30pm. Interment will be private.

Due to current health crisis everyone attending will be required to wear a mask to enter the building and practice safe social distancing protocol.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I had the distinct privilege of being one of Jayme's physicians. More than anything, I am left with memories of how strong and courageous she was throughout her illness, always smiling and staying hopeful, even when the pain was great. She was a beautiful soul. My prayers go out to her family, especially her devoted and loving husband, Tony. I am very sorry for your loss.
