Angelique M. (Burmann) Smola-Meisner, age 57, of McHenry, Illinois and Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away July 5, 2020 at Northwestern Hospital in McHenry, Illinois after being diagnosed with cancer in February 2020,

The former Angelique M. Burmann was born on August 8, 1962 in Madison, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Harry "Duke" Burmann and the late Sally A. (Dion) Burmann. They moved to Illinois when she was a toddler and settled in McHenry. Angie graduated from McHenry East High School in 1979. She had been employed at Brake Parts in McHenry for 28 years, most recently as a production planner. She retired from Brake Parts in 2019.

Angie was a devoted mother to Steven"Jake" Smola. She became reacquainted with Mark Meisner 12 years ago and they married in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 11, 2011. Their primary residence was McHenry, Illinois although they enjoyed time with Jake in Delavan, Wisconsin. Angie pampered her furry family members, Sadie and Benny who are 17 and 16 respectively.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Meisner, her son, Steven "Jake" Smola, her father, Harry "Duke" Burmann (Betty Rasbid) McHenry, IL, her brother, Robert (Kim) Burmann of Genoa City, WI; her stepdaughter Mandy (Daniel) Antczak of Wayne, IL; her sisters-in law Machelle Wyman and Monique Meisner; her aunts: Virginia "Ginny" (Bob) Arsenty, Mardele "Marti" (Harold "Hank") Stewart; her uncles Steve (Geneva) Dion,, and Richard (Joan) Burmann; her nephews: Brad (Octavia) Burmann, Brian Burmann, and nieces Brittany Burmann, Ashley Dong and Paige Meisner, as well her many cousins and friends.

Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Sally (Dion) Burmann, January 2006; her grandparents: Phil and Joanne Dion, Harry and Elsie Burmann; her uncles Jim Dion, John Dion and Charles Burmann; her mother-in-law Carolyn Dion.

There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Celebration of Angie's Life will be held in the future when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Angie's memory to American Cancer Society (800/992-2623) or Save a Pet, Grayslake, IL (847/740-7788 x 108).
