Obituary

Edward A. Aguirre, age 59, of Johnsburg, IL passed away on September 12, 2021 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Edward was born in Austin, Texas on December 19, 1961 to Arnulfo and Mary Aguirre. He married his beloved wife, Debbie Brunner, on July 8, 1995 at St. Theresa Church in Palatine, IL.

Ed graduated in 1981 from Crown High School in Carpentersville, IL . Shortly after high school he joined the United States Marine Corps. Edward proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps, as a Field Artillery Battery Man further achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. Among his many recognitions he received Expert Rifle Badge and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. After his 4 year service in the military he went on to work for United Parcel Service. Ed worked for UPS for 33 years, starting part-time washing trucks and working his way up to a package car driver then to becoming a feeder driver. He met his beloved wife, Debbie, on one of his delivery routes at One World Records in Palatine. In his free time, Ed enjoyed building and flying RC planes, riding ATV's with his sons and cruising on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an avid NASCAR fan, he especially enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon. Ed enjoyed traveling and creating memories with his children. Ed also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Cooper and Axel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Debbie Aguirre; his children: Jake, Austin and Katie Aguirre all of Johnsburg, IL; his mother Mary Aguirre; his siblings: Donnie Aguirre of Carpentersville, IL, Diane (Ron) Cowgill of Glenview, IL, Julie (Chuck) Bodenstab of Wheaton, IL, Joe "Gabe" (Lisa) Aguirre of LaQuinta, CA and Pat (Kim) Aguirre of Elgin, IL; his father in-law Charles Brunner of Palatine, IL as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Arnulfo Aguirre and nephew, Justin Cowgill.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry, IL. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00am to the time of the service at 11:00am service will be concluded with military honors.

Family is kindly requesting that everyone attending wear a mask and follow safety protocol as mandated by the CDC guidelines.
