Obituary

Edward Hardy III, age 75 of Wonder Lake IL, passed away on November 11, 2020 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born on April 10, 1945 in Chicago, IL the son of Edward and Velma Hardy.

On June 17, 2006 he married his loverly wife Anna at Shore Hills Beach in Wonder Lake IL.

Ed grew up in Libertyville, IL. He was involved in Track and Field and helping his father in his rose garden. Ed liked driving fast cars when he was young and loved his dogs Rowdy and Misty. Growing up Ed enjoyed visiting historical sites across America, camping fishing and hunting with his family when he was young. He never lost the desire for seeing our beautiful country and camping. Our favorite areas to visit was the Rocky Mountains of South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. We loved camping in National Parks, four wheeled in the highlands of a ranch, and drove though small streams where a bridge was out. Ed served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 60's as an Air Craft Mechanic. Ed liked working with his hands. He was a plastic injection molding technician and supervisor prior to retiring. He also enjoyed small engine and motorcycle repair. Ed was always getting calls from friends and friends of friends all times of the year to help someone with their lawn mowers, ATV's or snow blowers. It was nice to never have a problem with our lawn mower. He would keep them running well. One of Ed's most favorite pastimes was visiting with his friends for coffee at "the Table of Wisdom" at the Busy Bee in Wonder Lake. Ed would sometimes come home with a funny store or joke that he heard at the Table and share them.

He is survived by his spouse Anna M. Hardy of Wonder Lake; his nephews; James Hankins North Chicago, Donald (Linda) Hankins of Gurnee Step-Children Adam (Collett) Burlack Wonder Lake, Arhur (Kristy) Brand, Spring McReynolds and Shawn Brand of Wonder Lake; his grandchildren Adam Jr., Jordan, Felecia, Zoey, Jeremy Jr. and Abigail; and his great-grandchildren Ivory and Keatin.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; Edward and Velma Hardy, and his In-laws Stanley and Dora Burlack,
Due to the Pandemic a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
