Jacqueline Ann Seminara (formerly Igloe) passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 9th at the age of 85 in Wonder Lake, Illinois.

She was a loving wife and devoted mother. "Jackie" as her family and friends referred to her was a kindhearted and supportive family matriarch who cared deeply for her family and friends, not out of obligation, but with a loving heart.
A creative and passionate cook, Jackie was known for her inventive and delectable menus that she prepared for family dinners, celebrations, and holidays. She passed on her love of cooking to her children and grandchildren. When Jackie took a pause from cooking, she could be found enjoying shrimp and peapods from her favorite Chinese restaurant, Green Garden.
Always dynamic, energetic, and quick witted, she was an extremely creative spirit. Jackie embraced sewing, gardening, and decorating. She was also known for her exceptional fashion sense and ability to score a terrific bargain. Her incredible energy and curiosity about life kept her always on the go as she inspired all she encountered with her love for life.

Born to the late Samuel Igloe and Florence Igloe (Czubaja) on September 5, 1936, in Chicago Illinois, she spent her youth in Bridgeport surrounded by family and friends. Jackie loved her sisters and was predeceased by her sister Donna McCormick and is survived by her youngest sister Bunny Bell.
Jackie was an alumnus of Visitation High School and until her passing remained close with good friends met during her high school years. Jackie enjoyed sharing share fond memories of the time she and her husband spent in North Carolina the first year of her marriage when Joseph was in the Army.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Joseph Seminara and her two children Gayle (Howard) Seminara Mandel of Highland Park and Gary (Eppie) Seminara of Wonder Lake and her much loved dog Bijou. A doting grandmother, she is survived by four grandchildren whom she adored and was extremely proud of David (Theresa) Seminara, Erica (Don) Langlois, Dana Seminara, and Jackson Mandel. "Grandma Jackie" was joyfully blessed with three great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Colin, Alexis, and Riley Seminara. She was the beloved Aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Visitation will take place on October 23, 2021 from 10am to 12pm at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry, IL. Memorial Service will begin at 12pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
