Loving Mother, Grandmother and Aunt


Marion Reinwall-Hoak, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on January 3, 1926, the daughter of Louis and Mabel Hawley. She married Ernest "Bill" Reinwall and was married to him from 1953 until he passed away in 1988. She later married Stewart Hoak of Woodstock.
She enjoyed being involved in many organizations. She was an over 50 year member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Kishwaukee Trail Chapter and the Order of the Eastern Star. Other organizations she was active in were the Red Hat Society, McHenry County Past Presidents Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose #1348 and Crazy Hat Society. She was a member of the Ringwood United Methodist Church and the Women's Club.
Marion worked many departments in the Ringwood Chemical Co., and worked for many years as dental assistant. Years later she was a teacher at McHenry School of Beauty Culture. She shared quantities of love and understanding; helping family members and friends. She enjoyed working in the yard and doing ceramics and was a plate and spoon collector.
Survivors include 2 sons: Gary (Sandy) of Ringwood, and Mark (Georgene) of McHenry; grandson: Colton of Ringwood, sister: Shirley Woodward, and two nephews: Louis and Timothy Woodward, in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mabel Hawley; her two husbands: Earnest William Reinwall and Stewart Hoak; brother-in-law: John Woodward and nephew John Woodward, Jr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 18 2018 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Colonial Funeral Home 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 10:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Ringwood Cemetery Ringwood, IL
