Scott Michael "Rowser" Rowe, age 53, of Johnsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, October 9, 2018, at Journey Care Hospice Center in Woodstock, Illinois. Scott was born December 25, 1964, in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of Ralph Sr. and Cecelia Rowe. He grew up in Marseilles, Illinois. He attended area schools and later graduated from Illinois State University, where he was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. On November 22, 1991, he married Stephanie Bolatto in Ottawa, Illinois.
Scott worked for 25 years at Scot Forge Company, in Spring Grove Illinois. He retired in 2014 as a Marketing Manager. He was a former member and Vice-President of the Johnsburg School Board. Scott was a huge volunteer in his community, offering help in different areas whenever and wherever needed. He loved his farm, his dogs, fishing, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed sports, cars and motorcycles. Scott will always be remembered for his generosity and larger than life personality; but even more importantly he will be remembered for being a loving son, husband, father, uncle, coach, volunteer and friend.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; children, Madisen, Augie, Ethan, Emma and Aidan; his parents, Ralph Sr. and Cecelia Rowe; brother, Ralph Jr. (Diana) Rowe; sister, Kay Ann Rowe; brother, Gary (Toi) Rowe; mother-in-law, Sherby Bolatto; sisters-in-law; Monica (Ken) Rexford and Sabrina Bolatto; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Rosalie Rowe and Alfred and Mabel Rix; in addition to his father-in-law, Larry Bolatto.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018, from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry, Illinois, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2302 W. Church Street, Johnsburg, Illinois. Graveside service will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Scott's name to Melanoma Research Foundation or directly to the Rowe family.
